Description: Traditional Sonoran cultural style and innovative Tucson style Mexican Food. There is a good variety of GF menu choices. Shrimp fajitas and charro beans are a favorite of our reviewer. Tortilla chips may be fried in contaminated fryer. It varies depending on the location. Make sure to investigate the specific restaurant's fryer before eating the tortilla chips. Corn tortillas are cooked on the grille with flour tortillas. The GF menu is specific about what not to order or what to order--such as refried beans are not OK, charro beans are OK.
Apr 22, 2010: I've eaten twice off the gluten-free menu, including the chips, at the El Charro downtown and not had a problem. Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc) and has an immediate and unmistakable reaction
